Mediums modify the working properties of oil color from the tube – from a fluid consistency for expressive mark-making to a stiff paste for creating thick, crisp marks. Painting mediums also broaden the visual qualities of our colors – from increasing the transparency of paint layers to creating a range of surface qualities, from high gloss to matte. Titanium White Jar + Sifter: Brush and Pencil took the Titanium White found in colored pencils and created a ground-breaking powder with it. The white powder is completely opaque and has excellent covering power. In areas where you need white, you can apply Titanium White powder with an applicator sponge. If you use too much, you can lift it back with mounting putty. Mix a pinch of Titanium White with a few drops of Brush and Pencil's Touch-Up Texture to add highlights.
