Dammar Glaze Medium - A traditional glaze medium (with cobalt siccative) that helps add depth and gloss to transparent colors. Known for its speedy drying time of oil colors; use with slower drying colors. Oil Painting Medium - A basic oil medium designed to ease flow and increase gloss, transparency, depth, and bedaub of the pigment color. This medium is a linseed stand oil and turpentine formulation that prevents the yellowing of paint film. Resin-Oil-Wax Medium - A soft painting paste derived from pure bleached beeswax mixed with dammar resin and linseed stand oil. Gamblin Galkyd Gel - "G-Gel" Made from alkyd resin, Galkyd Gel is a colorless oil color additive that accelerates the drying rate of oil colors and enables artists to create thick transparent paintings with a moderate sheen. When used in greater proportions with oil color, Galkyd will level brush-strokes, creating an enamel-like surface. Galkyd is our fastest-drying painting medium. Thin layers will be touch-dry in approximately 24 hours. Alkyd based resin painting medium that thins oil paints and maintains a strong flexible paint film. Galkyd speeds the drying rate and is excellent for glazing providing an enamel like finish. For thinning, Gamblin recommends using Gamsol or a small amount of Refined Linseed Oil. Gamblin Galkyd Painting Medium Lite No.2 - Galkyd Lite thins oil colors and increases transparency and gloss. When used in moderation with oil colors, Galkyd Lite will retain brushstrokes. Galkyd Lite is more fluid and less glossy compared to Galkyd. Thin layers will be touch-dry in 24 to 30 hours. This low viscosity alkyd resin painting medium is a good replacement for traditional damar/ linseed oil/ turpentine combination mediums. Galkyd Lite dries within about 3 hours to a subdued gloss, and will maintain your brush strokes. For thinning, Gamblin recommends using Gamsol or a small amount of Refined Linseed Oil. Gamblin Galkyd Slow Drying Medium - Galkyd Slow Dry thins oil colors and extends working time. Galkyd Slow Dry is more fluid and less glossy than Galkyd Lite.
