Jerry’s Artarama continuously monitors competitor pricing to provide artists with the best possible value. Because market prices change frequently, prices on our website may change without notice.

What Is List Price (MSRP)

MSRP stands for Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (also known as “List Price”): MSRPs are published by the manufacturer of each product. Unless a product is our own manufactured brand, we do not set or inflate the MSRP. We report it. For our Jerry’s manufactured branded products, we establish MSRP based on those of third-party vendors whose products most closely resemble ours in quality and size.

Price Adjustments

At times, as a result of market volatility, some prices may increase and decrease from time to time. At Jerry’s Artarama, we strive to provide our customers with the best possible prices. However, due to the ever-changing global markets and fluctuations in costs outside our control, it may become necessary to adjust the prices on items. Jerry’s Artarama reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate promotions at any time without prior notice. Promotions are subject to product availability, and rain checks will not be issued for out-of-stock items.

Does a Discount Off the MSRP Represent a Sale Price?

Not necessarily. An example would be that a product has an everyday discount of 30% off the MSRP, but during promotional periods it may be offered up to 40% off the MSRP. Other products might be 40% and 50% off, respectively, and so on. Some products may never be promotionally priced. Products currently on sale or super sale will be identified with Sale or Super Sale labels or icons. Items with the Sale and/or Super Sale icon have limited-time sale pricing. No additional discounts can be applied.

Why Is the MSRP Valuable to the Consumer?

As long as the MSRP’s provided by the manufacturer are accurately conveyed by the retailer, the larger the discount advertised off the MSRP is, the lower the price to the consumer will be. In other words, if one retailer prices a product at 50% off the MSRP and another prices it at 40% off, the retailer at 50% off the MSRP is indeed charging a lower price for that particular product. MSRP is valuable to a consumer so they can compare prices and evaluate sales promotions between different retailers. That is why retailers reporting the MSRP provided by the manufacturer is so important — so you can make the most informed decision possible.

Are the Large Discounts Off the MSRP Offered by Jerry’s Artarama Real?

Yes. Many retailers, if not the majority of them, use the MSRP as their everyday price. You will find this to be the case at many retailers and online commerce sites. Jerry’s also uses “Off Reg. Price” (Regular Price) to calculate further savings (see product pages). Jerry’s and other art suppliers offer great value to the consumer by offering larger discounts. Jerry’s Artarama (and our like-minded competitors) work hard to make sure artists get great value.

How Does Jerry’s Set Online Prices?

Online prices are based on comparison shopping at other online retailers. As a result, Jerry’s can change thousands of prices per day to match competitive movements either up and/or down in price. In this way, we try to take price out of the equation, making the purchase decision ultimately depend on top quality selections, where we believe we excel.

How Do Jerry’s Coupons Work?

Jerry’s typically does not offer coupons online as we try to set our prices as low as we can to offer greater value. Typically, issued coupons reduce the price of posted everyday prices on eligible items. Coupons are subject to exclusions. If we list coupons for use that can reduce items further, we typically post an exclusions list, and an item does not qualify for additional coupon savings if it is already discounted at the lowest it can be offered.
