The Lino Cutter Set features a comfortable beechwood handle, five tempered steel blades, a blade remover tool, and a wooden box for storage. Artists prefer the ergonomic wooden handle because it offers greater control, doesn't interfere with finger placement, and holds the blade steady without a chuck. High-quality steel is used to make each sharp, long-lasting blade. Changing the blades is easy. Simply push out one blade with the dowel rod and insert a new blade in the handle. The wooden lino cut set contains a 2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm U-shaped blade, a 1 mm V-shaped, and a 5 mm chisel blade. Pair your carved linoleum blocks with the Hand-Held Baren, available in two sizes (51 mm and 66 mm). Each solid wood Baren has a polished, domed handle that comfortably fits in the palm of your hand while printing. Its short-domed shape allows you to easily bear down and apply even pressure to the print with your body weight. Chamois skin is very soft and naturally absorbent, with no abrasive properties that will damage even… Soft, naturally absorbent, blending, and erasing tool These natural, soft leather cloths are used as blending tools by artists drawing with charcoal, pencil, soft pastel, and other dry media. Chamois skin is very soft and naturally absorbent, with no abrasive properties that will damage even delicate papers. The chamois can be cut into small manageable pieces and carefully used to blend cleanly and softly, instead of smudging with fingers, which can introduce finger oils to the surface and discolor the drawing. Used primarily as a blending and erasing tool with gentle wiping or rubbing, the artist can blot the excess surface, pull up dust, or even lighten the drawing with precisely controlled blotting. Once the chamois surface has been completely used, it can be either soaked in warm, soapy water and hand-washed, or run through the washing machine with detergent (but no softener) and then hung in a safe place to dry. Do not hang in direct sunlight. Once dry, it will be stiff and firm but is easily re-softened by rubbing together against itself or another clean piece of chamois.
