The non-toxic powder works best on rigid, toothy surfaces like gessoed panels and sanded paper. You can dispense the powder with the included sifter and blend it with a sponge or short bristle brush. The powder performs best with oil-based pencils, but you can use it to pretreat a wax-based drawing before adding more layers. Once everything is blended, you can secure the layer with Fixative.
