Use only the recommended amount. Do not mix all of the resin at once because the reaction will cause the product to overheat and yellow. It dries completely in approximately 24 hours, depending on the thickness of the application. It can also be used as a protective coating on most surfaces or poured over Fantasy, Vitrail, and Ceramic colors. Wait a minimum of 7 days before adding a coat of resin over completely dry colors to add depth and brilliance to your creations. Damar is also used to create traditional oil painting mediums and varnishes. * White Beeswax (Pellets) - This natural beeswax has been whitened by mechanical filtration, instead of standard chemical bleaching, which can lead to negative pigment reactions and break wax down. Use White Beeswax as an ingredient in creating encaustic mediums and paints, along with Damar Resin, or as an initial priming layer for paper or board. Note that beeswax used alone in encaustics (without damar) is not as stable and is apt to bloom (become foggy).
