Just like Cobra colors, these mediums mix cleanly with water and are great additives for techniques from glazing and layering to alla prima and impasto. Enhance all your water-mixable oil paintings with these great mediums from Royal Talens! Key Features: * Water-mixable oil paint mediums * Water-mixable cleaning auxiliaries Perfect For: * Modifying oil paint * Lengthening drying time   Click on the white paper icon for more information about each Cobra product. Painting Medium - This viscous medium makes Cobra oils smoother and fatter, eliminating brushstrokes without lengthening the drying time of the paint film. It also adds a universal sheen and increases color transparency. Perfect for use in layering and alla prima (wet-on-wet) techniques. Glazing Medium – improves the flow of Cobra oil paints and increases their transparency, making it perfect for luminous glazing techniques. As this medium has a high oil content, it should only be used in the final few layers of a painting, following the "fat over lean" rule. Painting Paste – Perfect for adding bulk in impasto techniques or decreasing color intensity for alla prima painting. Can be mixed with Cobra oil colors in any ratio, but the more Painting Medium added, the lower the color intensity will become. Quick Dry Medium (Solvent-Free) - This medium reduces the drying time of Cobra paints. It also increases the flow and transparency of the paint while making the paint fatter. Safflower Oil - Safflower oil boosts paint flow and transparency. The oil doesn't yellow over time and dries slower than linseed oil, making it ideal for initial and final paint layers. Linseed Oil - improves paint flow and transparency. This linseed oil dries relatively fast and can be used for the initial layers of your painting. While linseed oil may yellow slightly over time, it offers a more stable paint film. Paint Thinner (Solvent-Free) - This solvent-free thinner enhances paint fluidity, making it leaner and aiding quicker drying times. It's particularly ideal for applying the initial layers of your painting. Brush Cleaner (Solvent-Free) - Makes brushes easier to clean. Also cleans brushes with oil colours that are not mixable with water Medium Mix - Cobra created this Medium Mix to help artists transition from traditional to water-mixable oil paints. Add this medium to your leftover traditional oil paints to make them water-mixable, so you can mix and thin your paint using just water! See More
