When added to acrylic paint, traditional pouring mediums generate random cells of color; as a result, most pourers add silicone to the mix to create more interesting shapes. Other pouring mediums on the market such as Liquitex are very tacky until thoroughly dry causing dust particles to interfere with results. Surface defects from craters to cracks are a pitfall of traditional and household pouring mediums.
