Sometimes referred to as Coptic binding, the signatures are stitched in a way that allows the book to open completely. Sketchbooks using heavier weight paper usually don't lay flat, so this type of binding is perfect for a sketch pad. The calendered cover adds strength and protects the artwork within. Each book contains 120 sheets and measures 5.6" wide x 8.26" high. The book will lay flat for panorama landscapes measuring 11.18" x 8.26" when open.
