Unlike those acrylic gesso's Michael Harding's primer is non-absorbent and preserves the luster of oil paint. Michael's acrylic primer does not absorb oil; instead, the paint sits on top of the surface. The gesso's pure acrylic resin composition is dispersed by rutile titanium dioxide and mineral based extenders. Once dry Lascaux Acrylic Gesso has a pure white matt finish with a good tooth. The white ground is elastic, lightfast, and age resistant.
