Although some stretcher bars do not use consistent types of wood, (some are Pine, some are Poplar, and some could be Bass), Pro-Lite bars are always made of Pine, so you know you are getting consistent quality. The stretcher bars feature the traditional tongue and groove corner ends that you can quickly assemble by interlocking two strips to form a canvas corner. They also feature a uniform beaded edge, so the canvas is slightly offset, to ensure that there will be no "ghost" impressions on the canvas.
