Just add to your palette when you want to maximize viscosity, and keep your Atelier Interactive Acrylic paints open for an extended period. Heavy Gel Gloss: A thick, water-based, glossy acrylic gel medium designed to create texture in acrylic painting. Heavy Gel Gloss creates a more translucent and buttery paint and increases gloss levels. It can also be used as an adhesive to bond other materials to the painting. *Note that the Heavy Gel Gloss uses conventional fast-drying technology, but it can take quite some time to dry when they are applied thickly. Wetting Aid (formerly known as Wetting Agent) is an additive used to reduce the surface tension of the water in the acrylic emulsion, thereby increasing the slickness and flow of the paint. The new formula is safer and less likely to be accidentally over-used by artists (overuse in the old version of Wetting Agent could cause paint to remain tacky, among other issues). Children should not use wetting Aid. Directions: Always dilute with water before use. Do not use alone or as a painting medium. Dilutions can be added directly to paint or used to pre-wet canvas or paper to increase staining or spread.
