When added to acrylic paint, they modify the paint handling characteristics, appearance or volume to produce an infinite variety of effects. Liquitex Gel Mediums can add texture, enhance color and increase transparency within your work. Gels also add "open time" as they tend to dry slower than thinner paint films. These mediums also modify acrylic paints in a variety of ways and, since they contain acrylic resins, tend to improve adhesion and durability. Modeling Pastes are thick acrylic gel blended with marble dust for a strong durable, opaque texture. Modeling Paste - Putty-like compound that can be shaped while wet and carved when dry. Slow-Dri Blending Gel - This fluid medium will increase the open working time of your acrylics by up to 40%. Dries clear to a flexible, non-yellowing and water-resistant film that will not change the viscosity of your color.  Ultra Matte Gel - Use to extend paint up to double amounts without changing color. Dries to a matte finish while maintaining color opacity. AP non-toxic. Liquitex Satin Gel Medium- is made of a 100% acrylic polymer emulsion and creates a durable, flexible film resistant to abrasion once dry. When added to acrylic paint, the satin gel increases texture and extends volume with a satin finish. You can also use the gel medium as a strong adhesive. Silkscreen Medium- You can transform acrylic paint into slow-drying silkscreen ink with Liquitex Silkscreen Medium. The medium changes the thickness of water-based acrylic paints by increasing fluidity so you can use them for silkscreening and mono-printing. Clear Tar Resin Gel: GOLDEN Clear Tar Gel is a 100% acrylic polymer colorless gel with an extremely resinous, syrupy, stringy, and tar-like consistency. Clear Tar Gel can be used to generate fine detailed lines by "dripping" it over painting surfaces. It can be blended with all GOLDEN Acrylic paints, offering a full range of colors with which to work, although Fluid Colors work best. Fine Pumice Gel is useful as a drawing ground. Glass Bead Gel: made with genuine glass beads the gel offers a unique effect similar to condensation on glass. The effect is best seen in thin films over a light color. Heavy Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss): is a thick gel that may be blended with acrylic colors to increase paint viscosity. Heavy Gels are excellent for holding peaks and dry translucent. The body of the gel will remain flexible even with thick impasto work. High Solid Gel (Gloss or Matte): are similar in body to Heavy Gels. They contain more acrylic solids and shrink slightly less than other gels. They blend well with colors and will retain brush strokes upon drying. Available in gloss and matte. Coarse Pumice Gel: The textured gel dries to a hard film. They mix well with GOLDEN Acrylic Colors. Coarse Pumice Gel creates more coarse textures to yield concrete-like finishes. Regular Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss): Regular Gel is ideal for extending paint and regulating transparency without changing consistency. Useful for impasto effects and holding moderate peaks of texture. They blend well with colors and will retain brush strokes upon drying. Soft Gel (Gloss, Matte, or Semi-Gloss):Thinner than GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylic colors, Soft Gels are moderately pourable. Hold only slight peaks. The recommended acrylic to function as a glue for collaging.
