Setting Proper Pressure:
Consistent pressure is vital for producing uniform prints. Count the threads on both screws to make sure that the roller is applying even pressure to the plate. Adjust the pressure screws of the press as needed and conduct test prints to ensure consistent results.
How often should I clean my press?
Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential for the longevity and optimal performance of your etching press. Clean the press thoroughly after each printmaking session, removing any ink residue or debris. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for lubricating moving parts.
