Acrylic Paint Mediums and Varnishes

At Jerry's, we specialize in materials made for artists. Acrylic mediums can modify the texture, consistency, drying time, sheen, and transparency of the paints. We suggest you use only the best mediums. Better quality mediums generally have purer ingredients, higher pigment retention, and improved performance. For specialty applications, some brands offer unique products like self-leveling mediums (ideal for smooth surfaces), interference mediums (for iridescent effects), and UV-protective varnishes.

There are many options at Jerry's for your modifying your acrylic paint. Choose from Gloss Medium that adds a glossy finish to the paint. Matte Medium softens colors and reduces glare and reduces the glossiness of paint for a flat, matte finish. Gel Mediums retains brushstrokes and adds volume without diluting color and thickens paint for impasto effects or textural applications. Glazing Medium enhances depth and luminosity of colors and creates transparent layers for glazing techniques. Binder Medium that helps thin paint without losing its binding properties and strengthens paint adhesion and flexibility.

Acrylic varnish provides a protective finish applied to completed acrylic paintings. It enhances durability, provides a consistent finish, and protects the artwork from dust, dirt, moisture, and UV damage. Acrylic varnish comes in Gloss (Enhances color vibrancy and depth), Matte (Softens colors and reduces glare) and Satin Varnish (Provides subtle sheen without being overly reflective.)
