New York Central Portrait-Smooth Artist Canvas Panels, Most Popular Set of 12

The set includes 3 panels for each of the following sizes: 8x10", 9x12", 11x14", and 16x20"

Ideal for oils, acrylics, caseins, and alkyds, the New York Central Portrait-Smooth Artist Canvas Panels are manufactured using high-quality acrylic primed cotton canvas. Only the purest 100% cotton is used in the extra-tight weave to create an exceptionally smooth canvas free of the knots and bumps usually found in linen. The portrait-smooth canvas is then cleanly wrapped and adhered to a warp-resistant 3.5mm MDF board. Acid-free glue acts as an archival barrier between the MDF and the canvas.

Packaging Note: The primed canvas weighs 8.82 oz. per m2 and 7.37 oz per sq.yd. The square yard weight is listed on the canvas label; however, the correct weight is 8.82 oz.

Pre-Treated With Acid-Free Glue To Protect Against SID

 

Acid-free glue helps to prevent Support Induced Discoloration (SID) between the MDF and the canvas. While acid-free glue can help to avoid SID, it is also essential to protect the artwork from material and environmental factors that can cause deterioration. All New York Central products are premium quality and made with only the finest materials.
