Titanium White Gesso is opaque and made with the same pigment that Daniel Smith uses in its Original Oils.
Transparent Gesso is excellent for mixed media work because it allows the color or pattern of your substrate to show through.
Iridescent Gold Gesso is made with Mica and iron oxides. It has a gorgeous metallic sheen that gives transparent paints a golden glow. Imagine a painting with metallic gold in the background!

If desired, you can thin the gesso with a little bit of water (no more than 10%). It's important to clean your brushes and palette knives with soap and water immediately after use. Over time the heavy Mica particles in this ground will sink to the bottom of the container. Before application, you should mix the gesso with a palette knife to reincorporate the Mica back into the gesso.
