Over time the heavy Mica particles in this ground will sink to the bottom of the container. Before application, you should mix the gesso with a palette knife to reincorporate the Mica back into the gesso.

If desired, you can thin the gesso with a little bit of water (no more than 10%). It's important to clean your brushes and palette knives with soap and water immediately after use.
