About Arches® Papers

Shop Arches papers online at Jerry's and find all the best deals

ARCHES® is the paper mill that offers the most extensive range of fine art papers made on a cylinder mould. Artists and graphic arts professionals know that in the ARCHES® Collection they will find the ideal paper for their technique and sensitivity. ARCHES® papers are made exclusively from 100% natural fibres such as cotton. Arches uses cotton linters to make its papers. Linters, an invaluable by-product of cotton, are the fine, silky fibres on the seeds (the long fibres from the cotton flower are used to make the textile). The seeds are used to make oil and cattle feed. Today it is the only French paper mill still producing fine art and printing papers on a cylinder mould.

How do you tell the right side of Arches watercolor paper? Each type of paper has its own watermark. The correct side of the watercolor paper to use is the side the watermark is legible. Not only is this the side to use, the watermark attests that the paper is genuine, and is therefore of high quality.
