Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyd Fast-Drying Oil Color - Titanium White, 37ml TubeSave Up to40%Off listWhite Fast Drying Oil Colors Made with pigments and oil modified alkyd resin Griffin Alkyd is an oil color formulated from the same family of fast-drying resins that has been used by Winsor & Newton in producing Liquin and other mediums since the 1960’s. Each color reaches a touch-dry state in less than 24 hours, making them ideal for fast working while still offering the working and optical properties of oils. Their unique luminosity makes them perfectly suited for glazing, particularly when used in combination with Liquin. Compatible with conventional oils, Griffin Alkyd Oils have excellent flow properties and dry to a durable, semi-gloss hard film that will not yellow over time. Made with an alkyd resin binder that has been modified with a non-yellowing drying oil for optimum color retention, excellent durability, and rapid drying time. 48 oil colors is available in 37ml tubes. Titanium White is also available in 200ml tubes. Key Features:* 48 oil colors, available in 37ml tubes* Faster drying time than traditional oils* Dry to the touch in 18 to 24 hours* Genuine oil color* Can be thinned with traditional oil color solvents* Can usually be varnished in 30 days* No compromise on lightfastness, color strength, and selection* Speed of drying allows techniques such as impasto and glazing to be done in considerably less time* Classed as artists' quality because the grinding of pigments* Dries to a durable, semi-gloss hard film* Will not yellow over time Perfect For:* Fast working while still offering the working and optical properties of oils* Colors remain workable for 4-8 hours* Oil painting outdoors* Clean with mineral spirits* Non-yellowing drying oil for optimum color retention* Glazing, particularly when used in combination with Liquin * Because alkyd film is slightly less flexible and is faster drying than traditional oil color, application over oil or oilbar layers is not recommended. Alkyd is not intermixible with acrylics. Griffin Alkyd Fast Drying Drying Oil Color Alkyds are made from a naturally derived vegetable oil that is polymerized. The result is a resin-like product that, when mixed with a solvent, is very similar to traditional linseed oil. The colours remain workable for 4 to 8 hours and are touch dry in 18 to 24. Consistent drying times across the range removes the usual restrictions that come with conventional oils, making it easier to overpaint, regardless of the colour upon the surface. Artist Review Great Product! "I work on commissions all the time that sometimes require a short deadline. I feel much more confident in getting them done and out in time while using these oils. You can also mix them in with regular oil paint and usually that will speed up the drying times as well. Usually they are completely dry in 24 hours!" See More

Claessens Linen Rolls provide artists with optimal professional quality in painting surfaces and craftsmanship. Each specific primed linen type passed through its own set of manufacturing steps and quality control, resulting in the premium painting surfaces Claessens is renowned for. After receiving the raw linens, quality control carefully inspects the entire surface for weaving faults. Abnormally thick threads are scrupulously removed. Double primed canvases undergo the same process again, as do additional primings. After the final coating is applied, the canvas is moved back to the drying room for 10 days. Oil Painting Primer can be applied directly to metal or porous surfaces (glue-sized canvas, untreated wood, hardwood, plywood, paper) with virtually no sinking in. Grumbacher Pre-Tested MG Underpainting White, 150 ml TubeSave Up to42%Off listWhite Designed to achieve various techniques! Grumbacher painting mediums guarantee that paint attributes are not compromised but enhanced. These mediums thicken or thin without harming the color's adhesive, binding, or film-forming qualities. Myriad effects such as increased flow and open time or rapid drying of color are all possible. Grumbacher has selected oils, resins, and solvents to guard against yellowing and cracking, and the ingredients have proven themselves over many generations of use. Key Features: * Accelerate or slow drying time * Increases gloss & translucency * Outstanding working properties * Made in the USA * Perfect For: * Traditional or alkyd oil paints * Enhancing paint characteristics * Dry transparent or translucent * Maintaining consistency * Preserving gloss Alkyd Painting Medium: Speeds drying time and gives a nice painterly consistency to alkyd and oil colors. Alkyd Medium enhances transparency and clarity of the paint. The color appears rich and intense. Cobalt Drier: The recommended drier for fine arts oil paintings. Add to oil painting medium in drops as opposed to adding directly to oil paint. Cobalt Drier is a powerful additive for oil paints and should be used sparingly. Test medium before applying it to an oil painting. Overuse may cause cracking of paint film when drying. Copal Painting Medium: has a resinous consistency perfect for glazing and wet-on-wet techniques. Copal painting medium is an oil paint additive that speeds drying time. This medium increases paint flow and imparts a high gloss and hardness when dried. Copal painting medium may cause yellowing or darkening of colors over long periods. Only dilute with turpentine or Grumtine as petroleum-based solvents, and odorless thinners are not compatible with this product. Damar Varnish: A final varnish for oil painting that imparts a high gloss finish. Processed with pure gum damar, Damar Varnish protects oil paintings from dirt and scuffing. Japan Drier: A solid alkyd resin-based liquid drier for artists' oil colors. Japan Drier is used primarily for oil gilding. It is an alkali based drier that may cause yellowing or darkening of colors over time. Odorless Thinner: is a clear, organic solvent for thinning oil colors, cleaning brushes, and painting accessories. Oil Painting Medium No. 1: Use when a matte finish is desired, especially on absorbent gesso grounds. Made from poppy seed oil, copaiba, balsam, and solvent. Oil Painting Medium No. 2: For use with oils to retard drying time. It contains poppy seed oil, mastic resin, alkyd resin, and grumtine. Oil Painting Medium No. 3: Accelerates drying time. It contains copaiba, balsam, stand oil, mastic resin, alkyd resin, cobalt, and manganese driers. Pale Drying Oil: Accelerates drying time of oil colors. Consists of linseed oil and manganese drier. Poppy Seed Oil: An excellent quality, slow drying, purified oil that retards drying time. It provides superior color retention and resistance to yellowing. PreTested Linseed Oil: Linseed oil has several uses in oil painting. It can be used as a paint binder ingredient when mixing colors from powdered pigments, in oil painting medium recipes, and added directly to oil paints to make colors glossy and fluid. This oil is made from the finest quality purified alkali-refined linseed oil. Retouch Varnish: For brightening uneven areas of oil paintings. An excellent varnish for protecting pictures until the final varnishing. Stand Oil: A flexible, very heavy-bodied purified oil for use in preparing mediums—excellent resistance to yellowing. Sun-Thickened Linseed Oil: Sun-thickened linseed oil is heavier in body and can be appplied directly to paint or used in glaze mediums, clear varnishes and emulsions. It is an extremely flexible medium derived from purified oil and can be pre-diluted with turpentine, Grumtine or Pre-tested odorless thinner. The linseed oil lends an enamel-like quality to oil color. See More

Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Color - Zinc (Mixing) White, 37ml TubeSave Up to40%Off listWhite Who Says Oil and Water Don't Mix! Designed to look and work just like traditional oil paint Just because oil and water don't mix in your kitchen doesn't mean there aren't other methods to make them happy in each other's company. A most effective route is through the addition of a chemical emulsifier that has an attraction on one side of the molecule for water and, on the other, for oil. The result? A happy match made, if not in heaven, at least in the laboratory. Mix with Water - Artisan provides all the characteristics expected from conventional oil color: High pigment strength, a high proportion of single pigments, and variable opacity. The key difference is their ability to be mixed with water even though they are made with traditional oil binders. Chemical analysis has indicated that any added water fully leaves the paint film within a short time; no water remains "trapped" to weaken or loosen the color on the canvas. Drying Time- The water evaporates out of the paint film fairly rapidly leaving behind a conventional oil color that dries by oxidation, as normal. Adhesion and drying time have been shown to be comparable to conventional oil color. Research has also shown that the dried Artisan film is similar to a conventional oil film in solvent resistance, yet remains slightly softer than conventional colors, offering increased flexibility, which is a very good thing. Your canvas can flex with changes in temperature and humidity; a paint film that will go along with it will better resist cracking or lifting. Key Features: * 40 vibrant tones * Designed to look and work just like traditional oil paint * Thick, buttery consistency * All colors are touch dry in 2-12 days * Clean up is easy with just soap and water! * High pigment strength and variable opacity * Mix with water and avoid hazardous solvents * Made from modified linseed and safflower oils * Winsor & Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colors - These magnificent paints are designed to look and work just like traditional oil paint, but they're a bit special. You can use them without hazardous solvents - they're happy being thinned down and cleaned up with water. They're especially good for artists who share a workspace or don't want solvents in school or at home. Winsor & Newton’s Galeria Acrylic Mediums are designed to work with their Galeria line, allowing you to explore the full range of acrylic property possibilities, from thinned fluid media effects with Flow Improver to heavy, carvable paste that can be tinted and built up. Galeria Extender - A highly economical medium, Galeria Extender increases volume of paint and maintains opacity. Color will dry to a matte finish. A great product for those on a limited budget. Galeria Flow Improver - Additive that loosens the surface tension of water within the acrylic paint, increasing the flow and allowing the application of areas of flat color evenly without changing the color strength. Increased flow is ideal for masking application, flowing gestural watercolor-like techniques, and “staining" applications. Should be used only in the amount needed to achieve the desired effect. Galeria Fluid Retarder - and additive for extending the drying and working time of acrylic colors. Small amounts (a few drops) will allow for extended blending and manipulation. Fluid Retarder does not contain sufficient acrylic resin to act as an additional “binder" and should be used only in the amount needed to achieve the desired effect. Galeria Gloss Medium - high clarity and even flow, Gloss Medium boosts the brilliance and transparency of the color as well as improving adhesion and durability. Ideal for glazing or applying thick, highly transparent layers of brilliant color for depth and “stained-glass" effect. Galeria Gloss Varnish - A unique, removable gloss varnish of the protection of finished acrylic works. Can be mixed with Galeria Matte Varnish to vary the final varnish. Galeria Heavy Carvable Modeling Paste - Tough and fully carvable, it remains flexible on a variety of surfaces and is suitable for multiple layers. Formulated to have the least effect on color shift from wet to dry. May be overpainted. Acrylic color may be added directly into paste during application (note it will become lighter and ‘chalky’ and the resulting paste will have reduced body). Galeria Iridescent Medium - Developed to provide pearlescent effects when added to color. Most effective when used with transparent colors over dark under layers. Galeria Matte Medium - Creates a flat, even finish. Maintains brilliance of color while boosting transparency, adhesion and durability. Galeria Matte Varnish - a uniquely removable matte varnish which may be mixed with Galeria Gloss Varnish to vary the final finish. Galeria Satin Varnish - A uniquely removable satin varnish for the protection of finished acrylic paintings. Galeria Modeling Paste - a lighter weight, flexible modeling paste for use on canvas (to minimize sagging). Finely textured with a soft sculptural consistency. Suitable for building multiple layers.
