Pen and ink work ranks a very close second to my favorite medium (Oils) and I love the stark black and white contrast. Even more so, I love being able to capture all of the subtle mid-tones required to achieve the depth needed for a representational rendering. It all comes down to the precise spacing and weight of the pen marks, whether they’re stipples (dots), contour lines, or hatches and cross-hatches. It is imperative to use top-quality instruments for these techniques. I find that the ACURIT Technical Drawing Pens fit the bill perfectly!
