Lefranc & Bourgeois Flashe Vinyl Paint - Paynes Grey, 125 ml JarSave Up to40%Off listGrey Highly Pigmented Opaque Vinyl Paint On All Supports Lefranc & Bourgeois's FLASHE is a vinyl-based opaque paint that dries to a uniform, velvety matte finish. Vinyl paint is like acrylic in that you can use it on different surfaces, but FLASHE has a velvety matt finish and can be painted on glass and plastic without a primer, unlike acrylic. Special properties in the paint allow you to apply the same color to different surfaces without any big color shift, and you can dilute the paint with water to create wash effects. The paint adheres well and is resistant to weather, which makes it perfect for painting theatre decorations, faux finishes, frescos, and more. All FLASHE colours have a distinctive matt finish, except the iridescent colours, which have a luminous, satin finish due to their pearlescent pigmentation. Key Features: * Highly pigmented opaque vinyl paint * Radiant colour, matt finish, and exceptional durability * High-quality pigments specially selected for fine art * Identical color finish on all surfaces * It can be heavily diluted without breaking the film * Guaranteed to be 100% stable over time * Most surfaces do not need to be primed Perfect For: * Artists and illustrators * Non-oily painting surfaces, canvas, wood, fabric, leather, metal, paper, plastic, glass, and polystyrene * Creating transparent wash effects and patinas * Use as an undercoat for oil or acrylic murals * Transferring artwork from analog to digital * Spontaneous painting in the studio or outdoors * Fresco and wall painting, faux finishes, theater decorations, and more * Brush, sponge, spray gun, or an airbrush application FLASHE Colours have a uniform 30-minute drying time, and once dry, they are water-resistant. You can only remove the paint with alcohol-based solvents. Apply opaque colours with a single application, semi-opaque colours with two applications, and transparent colours with three to four applications. Watercolour: To create washes and patinas, dilute with between 1/3 and 2/3 water as desired. Varnish: Matt varnish can be applied on top to maintain the vibrancy of the colour without altering the shade. Gloss varnish will make shades a tone deeper and more vivid. Varnish is recommended for all outside applications. See More

Odorless Mineral… The safest solvent that allows oil painters to utilize all traditional painting techniques without compromise Quality solvent and medium and for general oil painting: Thinning oil colors, Modifying painting mediums. Gamblin Gamsol is also an excellent studio and brush cleaner. Odorless Mineral Spirits - Gamsol is the safest solvent that allows oil painters to utilize all traditional painting techniques without compromise. Primary Uses for Gamsol - Thinning oil colors, Modifying painting mediums, Studio clean up.Gamsol is a petroleum distillate but all the aromatic solvents have been refined out of it, less than .005% remains. Primary Uses for Gamsol:* Thinning oil colors. A little goes a long way; stiff oil colors relax immediately when a little Gamsol is added. Be careful not to thin oil colors too much with solvent alone, this can compromise the ability of the paint to form a paint film.* Modifying painting mediums. Our Galkyd line of painting mediums are formulated with Gamsol, so they readily accept Gamsol as a thinning agent. Note: Gamsol should not be added to painting mediums made with natural resins (dammar, copal, mastic). They require strong solvents such as turpentine.* Studio clean-up: brushes, palettes, palette knives, etc.* Odorless* Available in the following sizes: 4.2 oz,16.9 oz, 33.8 oz, 128 oz* No solvent odors, only the wonderful smell of oil colors* Widely used in oil painting classrooms* Flash point: 62.2 °C / 144.0 °F (See SDS Sheet) How does Gamsol achieve this level of performance and safety? Most solvents available to artists come from the industrial paint industry where solvent power and cheapness is prized. Gamsol is special: it is made for products and processes that come into more intimate contact with the body such as cosmetics, hand cleaners, and cleaning food service equipment. Gamsol is a petroleum distillate but all the aromatic solvents have been refined out of it, less than .005% remains. Aromatic solvents are the most harmful types of petroleum solvents. The Gamsol SDS shows that it has an Exposure Limit Value higher than most solvents available to artists. In addition, Gamsol’s flash point allows it to ship via air cargo as a non-hazardous material. All of these factors have lead to Gamsol being used widely in oil painting classrooms; in those classes, there are no solvent odors, only the wonderful smell of oil colors See More
