LUKAS Pouring Medium is unique because you can create more dramatic effects without adding silicone and still produce spectacular cell formations. Other pouring mediums on the market such as Liquitex are very tacky until thoroughly dry causing dust particles to interfere with results. Surface defects from craters to cracks are a pitfall of traditional and household pouring mediums. LUKAS Pouring Medium is a real breakthrough because it dries to a beautiful satin sheen with almost no noticeable cavities and absolutely no cracking. The rule of thumb is the lower viscosity of the paint, such as ink, the smaller the ratio of the pouring medium, while thicker heavy body paint would receive a more significant portion of the medium. You can use virtually any acrylic based color, but we suggest richly pigmented colors! You can pour this flexible acrylic medium over almost any substrate, but it is better to pour on a hard flat surface such as a wooden panel. By changing mix ratios, variety of colors, viscosity, and types of substrates, it is almost impossible to run out of distinct variations.
