When the glue dries, the finished frame will have the strength of our pre-assembled frames. Although you don't need any special tools, we do suggest a hammer for tapping in plugs. The frame molding has a 3/4" face, 1-1/8" rabbet depth and a 1-1/4" profile depth. The rabbet depth of the molding is 1- 1/8" and is the recess on the back inside edge of the frame where your artwork rests. You should measure the depth of your artwork, including any matting materials to ensure that everything will fit within the rabbet depth of the frame. Each frame pair is sized by the opening length, not by the outside of the molding.
