Note that the matte and satin MSA varnishes… Varnishes for acrylic, oil, alkyd, egg tempera, watercolor, and casein GOLDEN MSA (Mineral Spirit Acrylic) Varnish with UVLS (Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers) dry to a tough, yet flexible protective finish and contain ultraviolet light filters and stabilizers (UVLS). The UVLS system provides increased resistance to the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation, making the product suitable for exterior as well as interior application. MSA Varnish can be used over a wide variety of paints, including acrylic, oil, alkyd, egg tempera, watercolor, and casein. As a topcoat for acrylics, it provides a harder, lower tack surface that is much less susceptible to dirt and is more mar resistant.   GOLDEN MSA - available in Matte, Satin, and Gloss finishes. A mineral spirit based acrylic resin system that forms a tougher, less permeable film than waterborne acrylic varnishes. Can be applied to acrylic, oil, and alkyd painted surfaces. Reduces dirt penetration and surface marring, offering an extremely level film with less foam and fewer pinholes. Removable with mineral spirits after drying; recommended for interior or exterior use. Not for use by children. Thins with MSA Varnish Solvent.   MSA Varnish Solvent - the ideal solvent for thinning GOLDEN MSA Varnishes, which must be thinned before use. MSA Solvent assures clear, clean, even application. Image Transfer How-To Nearly any gel, medium, or acrylic paint will work to lift an image, depending on the texture, clarity, and color you want to trap the image within. 1. Apply the gel or paint, and while it is wet, place the image side of a printed laser paper copy directly into the wet gel. Let dry overnight. 2. Dampen the paper with a wet sponge. Wait a few minutes to allow water to soak paper. Begin rubbing carefully. Use a soft cloth or scrubbie to remove the paper. You will probably have to remove the paper a few times, for a clean transfer. When the water evaporates, you will be able to see the areas that you missed. See More
