The top pocket has a hook and loop closure and was specially designed to hold cell phones as large as an iPhone 11 Pro Max. The large, narrow pocket below the waist is great for storing long handle brushes, and the half pockets make it easy to find those smaller items like pencils and erasers that can get lost in a larger pocket.
