The UVLS system provides increased resistance to the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation, making the product suitable for exterior as well as interior application. MSA Varnish can be used over a wide variety of paints, including acrylic, oil, alkyd, egg tempera, watercolor, and casein. As a topcoat for acrylics, it provides a harder, lower tack surface that is much less susceptible to dirt and is more mar resistant. GOLDEN MSA - available in Matte, Satin, and Gloss finishes. A mineral spirit based acrylic resin system that forms a tougher, less permeable film than waterborne acrylic varnishes. Can be applied to acrylic, oil, and alkyd painted surfaces. Reduces dirt penetration and surface marring, offering an extremely level film with less foam and fewer pinholes. Removable with mineral spirits after drying; recommended for interior or exterior use. Not for use by children. Thins with MSA Varnish Solvent. The different finishes can be intermixed to achieve the desired sheen. Note that the matte and satin MSA varnishes will lighten dark value colors, which is typical of reduced sheen varnishes. Modeling Paste Pastel: Water-based paste in white color with high viscosity, which enables opaque and matte impasto. It gives an elastic film after drying and a pastel tone when mixed with acrylic paint. Please note that it shrinks by approximately 40% after drying. Impasto of about 3cm thickness will take about 3 to 6 days to dry at an ambient temperature of 20 C thoroughly. Gloss Varnish: Turner Gloss Varnish can be used as a final gloss coat on a completed painting or as a mix-in medium with other acrylic paints. The varnish has a milky-white appearance but dries clear and creates a water-resistant film. When mixed with a significant amount of Acryl Gouache paint, it produces a glossy translucent effect. Retarder: Turner Retarder slows the drying time of acrylic gouache paints. The clear retarder forms a water-resistant film once dry.
