Their high-quality acrylic mediums, pastes, gels, and retarders have been carefully created to fulfill any acrylic painter’s needs. Any imagined texture, technique, or faux finish is capable with one or more of the mediums below. Build up a massive volume of color with structure pastes in various finishes from fine to extra coarse. Obtain specific looks with metallic modeling pastes, pumice pastes, or glass beads. Achieve granular looks with their structure pastes that contain quartz sand. LUKAS manufactures a wide variety of acrylic painting mediums to dilute or extend paint, create different film sheens, and even slow drying time for wet-on-wet techniques. The paste dries to a light opaque grayish color. Retarding Medium: Slows the initial drying time of the paint film and the acrylic colors it is mixed with. Depending on the amount added, the drying can be delayed longer, allowing for wet-in-wet techniques. Pearl Structure Gel, Extra Fine: A milky white acrylic gel with pearlescent pigments that dries a silvery-white color. It is slightly transparent with intense pearly reflections. The color spectrum ranges from silver-white to light green to purples. Structure Paste Pumice Mortar: A light grey-beige structure paste perfect for creating pronounced 3D effects.
