The BEST Medium-duty Stretcher Bar is made from white pine. There is a greater supply of pine in the thinner and shorter length, so we use high-quality white pine for these bars. The lightweight bars are extremely useful in small paintings. These bars can save you money and make framing easier; perfect for beginners, college students, and small works of art. All of BEST's Stretcher Bars are designed so that the canvas is always a full ½" (except lightweight) from the stretcher bar to ensure that there will be no "ghost" impressions on the canvas.
