Yasutomo mineral paper is an excellent silverpoint substrate that requires no preparation. You can start drawing directly on mineral paper with your silverpoint tool. Because the paper is bonded with a small amount of HDPE (plastic), it is tear-resistant, foldable, and non-wrinkling.

Yasutomo Silverpoint Drawing Tool 1mm & 11"x14" Mineral Pad Set

160 lb/240 gsm Mineral Paper is more durable than previous versions and holds up better to various art techniques, including alcohol ink painting, silverpoint drawing, mixed media and more. Because the paper is bonded with a small amount of HDPE (plastic), it can handle more abuse. Yasutomo Mineral Paper is tear-resistant, foldable, non-wrinkling, and will not allow color-bleed through even when soaked. Mineral Paper has a smooth, vellum-like velvety feel and a nice amount of tooth for wet media.

Yasutomo's Silverpoint Drawing Tools come with elegant bamboo-shaped wooden handles. The 99% silver point is beveled and can be used to create different line thicknesses. Points can be unscrewed and replaced as needed.
