The brush heads are handmade with the utmost attention with curved, interlocking hair and flagged hair ends. Each brush must pass the most stringent tests to receive a stamp with the Imperial name. These brushes are tested to be the very best and offer flawless performance at the highest level. The integrated ferrule that fits over and into the wood handle, this is the only brush with this feature. The ferrule fits into a 3mm thinner area of the brush end so the ferrule fits into the handle and is glued in this area to make it virtually impossible for the handle to get loose. The hair is specially prepared to be stiff yet soft to the touch. This makes the bristle-less brittle and reduces the breaking of the hair while painting and the smoothness and precision of the stroke. The brush is made with two bundles of hair that are put together so the brush hairs interlock with each bundle having a perfect inward curve to create a wonderful brush response.
