This palette is nearly 15" by 15" - enough to take up a good portion of your art table. Wanted to send it back, but the shipping was almost as much as the palette! Will try to sell it to local artists. Concept is great - just the wrong size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect palette for learning how to use the color wheel bought this palette to simplify and organize my main colors for watercolor painting. Having read two of his books, Watermedia Painting and Color Choices, I wanted to have a palette that would provide easy mixing of analogous, complimentary and triad colors. It has large mixing areas and outside corners for additional colors or other media, and a snap on cover to keep paint fresh.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiller Palette is unique This palette has great space for paints and for mixing. There are corner "pots" for more paint or to mix paint if you need to. It is bigger than I imagined and I would have loved sharp edges on the "pot spots" to draw my brush against for cleaning and controlling the amount of paint on the brush.

She had seen it demonstrated by another teacher, and was thrilled at how the circular styling was perfect for color-wheel blending. The paint recepticals could hold primary colors, secondary colors, etc, in the order of a color wheel. The lid fits very well to preserve the paints in progress to be wetted and used again later.

How does the plastic model compare to the porcelain? Is it sturdy? I've read a few reviews on the web where people say it's a little flimsy.

Thank you for contacting us. The palette is made of sturdy plastic and weighs a pound. The rigid plastic has some bend to it but is not as sturdy as say a porcelain palette. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
