Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing! I'm from India. I'm very much impressed by this product. Its convenient and I'm buying it for the second time as I broke the glass of the first one in transport. I would like if they would sell just the glass container as glass breaks. But I wouldn't want them to switch to plastic in the process as I don't believe in plastic and one of the reasons for buying this was because it was glass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Invention ! I paint for a hobby, though I've sold a few pieces over the 20+ years that I've been painting. I HATE WASHING BRUSHES ! so this system is perfect for me. It's very simple, inexpensive, and it works. Swishing the brush across the coils a few times removes all the oil color, and you don't have to wash the brush with soap and water. It's much better than using a jar with turpentine, as when you clean the brush on the coil, the oil paint drops to the bottom, so in cleaning another brush you don't risk putting it in the muck at the bottom. I now use this each painting session. I highly recommend this product as it both cleans the brush quickly and keeps the bristles supple and silky. BTW, I am not paid in any way for this endorsement. It really is as good as I say it is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Efficient Brush Cleaner but Toxic I use the product and the Sililcoil jar to clean brushes after oil painting. The solution removes oil paint from the brushes efficiently. I even cleaned a brush containing dried paint that I thought I would have to discard. But the product is toxic (it smells like kerosene) so it is imperative to use it in a well ventilated space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, a few imperfections I bought a silicoil tank for school and I find it very useful. It's definitely much more efficient at cleaning and much better on a brush's bristles than an ordinary cup of water. It's also extraordinarily priced compared to other brush cleaners. However, it has a tendency to leak if placed on its side...which is pretty annoying. But other than that, it is simple and effective.

Why can't they make the coil smaller so that it can be removed to clean the bottom of the jar? My only complaint - but a big one.

 How do you clean the muck from  the bottom of this SilicOil does the coil come out of the jar?
