No pigments containing heavy metals are used, such as cadmium, lead and cobalt, in the production of Rembrandt Soft Pastels. This complete set of Rembrandt soft pastels is an excellent choice for pastel artists, providing one of the widest assortments of soft pastels available. This is achieved through a combination of pigment, a minimal amount of binder and the purest and softest types of kaolin, also referred to as pipe clay or China clay. the balanced proportion of these ingredients results in an as spontaneous as possible color transfer and a velvety look.
