Flip your frame so that the front is laying flat on a tabletop. Make sure that you have a piece of foam board underneath the frame to protect it from scratches. You will notice that the clips have two different sides, one side has two fangs, and on the other side of the clip has a noticeable curve. The teeth are intended to go into the inner rabbet wood of the frame while the curved end of the clip goes around and fits in the inner groove of your canvas stretcher frame.
