The enormous amount of labor involved in handmaking interlocked brushes inspired the Da Vinci company to develop new technology that enables them to manufacture artists brushes efficiently. The fruit of these applications is MAESTRO where they implant a perfectly shaped brush-head deeply into the ferrule, to guarantee enduring elasticity, springiness, and longevity. Each brush has a long red handle with a black painted tip. Filbert and Fresco shapes are perfect for painting on wet, plastered surfaces and for mural painting on dry stucco.
