Lineco's Bookbinding Tool Kit is the perfect kit for novice bookbinders. This kit comes with the basic, easy to use tools you'll need to make books from "scratch". This kit includes one heavy-duty and one light-duty awl for making holes, a 6" bone folder for paper folding, 1" bristle brush for paste and glue, 3 bookbinding needles, 10 yards of 100% linen thread, beeswax for thread and instructions for making your own hole punching cradle.

Lineco Archival Quality Book Repair Tool Kit

The Lineco Book Repair Kit has all of the necessary supplies needed for simple book repair, cleaning, and preservation.

The kit contains:

• Gummed linen repair tape (1" × 36"), to hinge or reattach covers and loose pages
• Self-adhesive translucent mending tissue (1/2" × 12 ft), for pages repairs
• Document cleaning pad, which contains a grit-free powder that removes dirt and smudges from paper. It can also be used to clean bookbinding tools.
• Six-inch bone folder, for making precise creases in paper or burnishing tapes.
• Neutral pH Adhesive (4 oz), for gluing spines and covers
• Gum eraser/cleaner, to safely remove marks from paper

Lineco Genuine Bone Folder, Small

Made of genuine animal bone, the Lineco Small Bone Folder is a smooth-edged tool that is excellent for creating precise paper creases and folds. Especially useful when creating signatures for bookbinding. The 6" × 7/8" inch tool has one pointed end and one rounded end. Because the bone folder is made of real bone, it is less likely to leave behind shiny residue on papers.

Lineco PH Testing Pen - With a simple swipe of Lineco's pH testing Pen, you can determine whether or not your paper or board is acidic. To test, draw a small line on the material you wish to examine. The line will turn purple on most papers to indicate pH neutrality. A clear or yellow color indicates the material may be unsuitable for conservation purposes. You can preserve papers with a pH of 6.0 or higher, especially if the paper is well-made, carefully used, and stored. To last centuries in today's polluted air, the paper must have an alkaline reserve, which usually means a pH of 7.0 or greater. Please note: This is a pH indicator only. Unreliable results may occur on colored, coated, or unbuffered materials.

Lineco Document Cleaning Pad 2" x 4.75" Roll - Lineco's Document Cleaning Pads are recommended for cleaning dusty, dirty, or moldy papers. The pads contain a soft, grit-free powder that absorbs and cleans surface dirt from paper.
