Piñata Colors alcohol-based inks are beautiful, color-saturated, acid-free, transparent inks. They have an alcohol base which makes them indelible and moisture resistant when dry and allows you to use them on almost any surface as long as it's clean and oil free.


Highly versatile, Piñata alcohol inks can be used in a variety of applications, including rubber stamping, fine art, fiber art, and scrap booking. Also use Piñata in calligraphy, faux finishing techniques and airbrush applications, as well as wood and leather staining.


Piñata Clean-Up Solution contains moisturizers to keep brushes soft and pliable. (TIP: Use regular rubbing alcohol to clean off most of the Piñata from brushes and sponges. Use the Clean-Up Solution for the final rinse to keep brushes soft and ready-to-use the next time!) Piñata also offers Claro extender.

Though Jacquard Pinata has a limited selection of colors, the colors they do have are more than enough to create custom shadings. The 4 oz bottles gives you enough to go crazy with experimentation. do these come in 1/2 oz. sizes?

will your white ink show up on a black tile like Adirondaks Sno Cap mixative?

I've used it on black tiles and it was a vibrant white. I use it more and a blender or under-paint so that other colors show up more vibrantly on the black tiles - but it stands out alone as well.

are the alcohol inks lightfast or will they quickly fade if exposed to any uv light?

Piñata alcohol inks are dye based, and as a result will not hold up under intense UV over time. Ranger products are also dye based... You could look for or create your own pigment-based alcohol inks... Jacquard claims their inks will hold up better, but no dye based ink is impervious to UV.
