Damar Varnish Spray - The final varnish for oil paintings. Transparent, colorless when applied, it brings out the beauty of colors with either a soft gloss or matte finish. When properly used it will not bloom.

Hyplar Gloss Varnish Spray - This crystal clear final acrylic varnish is specially formulated to give acrylic paintings a uniform gloss.

Myston Spray - When sprayed on water repellent material like acetate, metal, foil and glass, it provides a workable surface for painting with water-based colors such as watercolors, gouache and ink.

Retouch Varnish Spray - This Damar Varnish-based spray is used during intermediate stages of development in oil painting to bring out the normal values of sunken-in colors for further work.

Picture Varnish Spray - is a non-yellowing, easily removable final varnish for both oil and acrylic paintings.

Tuffilm Matte Spray - is an acrylic based varnish which protects printed matter, proofs, charcoal and pastel drawings, blue prints, color copies and photographs from dirt, dust and moisture. Water clear and rapid drying it will never change the hue of colors or stain paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dedo from Beautiful Finish Over the years I have tried many varnishes. Grumbacher spray picture varnish is the best. I paint with acrylics trying very hard to use them as if they were oil paint. Grumbacher picture varnish gives a beautiful luster that makes it difficult for viewers to discern if my paintings are acrylic or oil. The cost is a little more than other brand. But only a light coat is necessary. Some art supply stores carry this brand also but it is even more costly elsewhere.

My painting has only dried for a month. It is done in oil and in acrylic (both mediums on one canvas). One Layer.I need to use varnish immediately for a show to bring out the colors as the oil is done with thinner. Can I use the Damar retouch varnish

Thank you. I did paint oil on dried acrylic but there are areas where acrylic and oil touch since I only painted part of it with oil not the whole painting.
