The surface texture provides a very definite paint-gripping “tooth" with minimum vehicle absorption, providing the perfect support for painting in oil, casein, tempera, or acrylic. Lightweight and perfect for travel, the medium weight canvas is glued to an innovative backing board. The boards are firm and stable, with clean, hand turned edges, they provide the ideal surface for studies or initial renderings in the studio, classroom or plein air.

These ARTIST SERIES canvas panels are double-primed just north of Atlanta, Georgia, with an acid-free acrylic titanium gesso. The sides are completely turned under and glued to prevent fraying and separation.
