Da Vinci Cosmotop Mix B Sable Brushes for watercolor and gouache are a blend of Kolinsky Red Sable, Russian Blue Squirrel, Russian Fitch, and a small amount of synthetic hair. The bristle holds all of the benefits of natural watercolor hair, including the sharpness of sable, the stiffness of fitch, and the water retention of squirrel hair. Each brush has a nickel-plated seamless ferrule that is rust-resistant. Before leaving the brush workshop, each brush is examined to make sure that the brush-head is flawless, and that the ferrule is firmly attached to the handle.
