Createx Monotype Color Pro Set

Specially Formulated Monotype Inks

Enjoy printing with the Createx water-based ink which have been specially formulated for the Monotype printmaking process. The inks are for single print transfers off of a metal, glass, Plexiglas or non-porous plate onto paper. These inks are easily transferred by hand-rubbing or by etching/lithography press. Monotype Colors are unique colors intended to release off the plate, something ordinary acrylic paints will not do. Monotype Colors also allow for printmaking techniques that incorporate textures which cannot be obtained by painting directly onto paper. Unlike oil-based inks, the Createx Monotype Inks are water-based colors that can dry before printing. Just dampened the paper and it will rewet the color to transfer the image. This rewetting technique offers the ability to ink several plates at one time and transfer the images later. Monotype Colors are made with a binder that does not have acrylic-resin and is not suitable for use as a standard acrylic color. Createx Monotype Colors are made with lightfast pigments, are non-toxic and meet ASTM D-4236 standards.
