The smooth and creamy texture lends itself perfectly to alla prima painting, yet the high pigment concentration also allows paint to be thinned down to the most subtle and luminous glazes. The main binding ingredient is poppy oil (no tendency to yellow over time) which provides a rich creaminess to the paint. (as with any Poppy Oil based paint, remember to follow the fat over lean method of painting)
