The brushes were created by combining centuries of brush-making knowledge with the latest technology. Each brush is made by blending different filament diameters, taper ratios, and lengths. A computer simulation determines the precise combination of filaments before each brush is assembled by hand. Over 30 types of synthetic hair are blended to accurately imitate natural hair. This attention to detail results in a soft, extremely absorbent brush that holds its shape well and has great snap. One of the first brushes designed using computer simulation for every single brush. This will outshine virtually all brushes! Each brush has the optimal combination of hair to maximize its performance. This yields a uniform brush response and color-holding ability. Oasis brushes are extremely thirsty and can hold a large amount of water and paint compared to other brushes. After working with these brushes, you will be amazed by how well they perform. Move Over Kolinsky! Oasis is the Best Brush for Watercolor and Design Why: Oasis Brushes outperform and hold more color than Kolinsky. Van Aken Kato Polyclay 12.5oz WhiteSave Up to19%Off listWhite A polymer clay developed with an artist for artists! Kato Polyclay is an easy-to-use polymer clay that bakes in ten minutes to become a robust and sturdy material. You can mix Kato colors to create unique shades with ease once the clay has warmed up in your hand. Create beads for jewelry or sculpt figurines then bake in your household oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Once cooked, the clay can be further improved by sanding and buffing. Kato Polyclays have color stability, uniform consistency, and excellent cured strength. More durable than other poly clays, objects made with Kato Polyclay become permanent works of art that will resist cracking and decay over time. Its smooth texture allows for detailed results for all types of craft, including sculpture, jewelry, home decor, and model making. Key Features: * Created in partnership with artist Donna Kato * Highly-pigmented non-sticky formula * Oven-hardening clay * Strong and durable * All colors are mixable * When sliced, it will maintain its shape * Keeps its shape and color after baking * Made in Georgia, USA * Certified non-toxic * Conforms to ASTM D-4236 * Sulfur-free, paraben-free, latex-free * Free of nuts, dairy, gluten, soy, corn, GMOs, pollen, nickel, lead, and VOCs *DO NOT EAT* Perfect For: * Creating figurines * Making jewelry * Custom color mixing * Letting your creative juices run wild * Sculpting character studies * School projects * Model making * Teachers and students * DIY up-cycling * Polymer caning-techniques * Bake between 275F (135C) and 325F (165C) for 10-30 minutes Polymer clay pieces may be cured in a standard oven or in a toaster oven. When curing compositions, it is recommended that you test the temperature of your oven (especially when using a toaster oven) with an oven thermometer. To do this, place the thermometer into the oven in the approximate location where you will be curing your piece; wait for the thermostat to adjust then adjust the temperature of your oven accordingly until the appropriate temperature is achieved. Kato Polyclay should be cured at about 300°F (150°C); however, it can be cured within the range of 275°F (135°C) and 325°F (165°C). It has been approved to be cured at 350°F (175°C). You should never exceed a temperature of 365°F (185°C) when curing Kato Polyclay. When cured at elevated temperatures, Kato Polyclay will become harder and more durable and have an increased surface gloss. For optimal strength, it is recommended that you cure your piece for 30 minutes. Curing Kato Polyclay for more extended periods will yield similar results as curing it at elevated temperatures; however, it is not recommended that you cure it for longer than the recommended time. Some projects may require that you cure a piece multiple times. For example, after adding an uncured piece of clay or another medium to it. When you create a project like this, it is a good idea to cure the piece in shorter increments of time. For example, if you were baking a piece three different times, it’s recommended that you cure the piece for 10 minutes the first two times and 30 minutes for the final curing this will save you time and ensure that your piece is permanent. These mediums thicken or thin without harming the color's adhesive, binding, or film-forming qualities. Myriad effects such as increased flow and open time or rapid drying of color are all possible. Grumbacher has selected oils, resins, and solvents to guard against yellowing and cracking, and the ingredients have proven themselves over many generations of use. Key Features: * Accelerate or slow drying time * Increases gloss & translucency * Outstanding working properties * Made in the USA * Perfect For: * Traditional or alkyd oil paints * Enhancing paint characteristics * Dry transparent or translucent * Maintaining consistency * Preserving gloss Alkyd Painting Medium: Speeds drying time and gives a nice painterly consistency to alkyd and oil colors. Alkyd Medium enhances transparency and clarity of the paint. The color appears rich and intense. Cobalt Drier: The recommended drier for fine arts oil paintings. Add to oil painting medium in drops as opposed to adding directly to oil paint. Cobalt Drier is a powerful additive for oil paints and should be used sparingly. Test medium before applying it to an oil painting. Overuse may cause cracking of paint film when drying. Copal Painting Medium: has a resinous consistency perfect for glazing and wet-on-wet techniques. Copal painting medium is an oil paint additive that speeds drying time. This medium increases paint flow and imparts a high gloss and hardness when dried. Copal painting medium may cause yellowing or darkening of colors over long periods. Only dilute with turpentine or Grumtine as petroleum-based solvents, and odorless thinners are not compatible with this product. Damar Varnish: A final varnish for oil painting that imparts a high gloss finish. Processed with pure gum damar, Damar Varnish protects oil paintings from dirt and scuffing. Japan Drier: A solid alkyd resin-based liquid drier for artists' oil colors. Japan Drier is used primarily for oil gilding. It is an alkali based drier that may cause yellowing or darkening of colors over time. Odorless Thinner: is a clear, organic solvent for thinning oil colors, cleaning brushes, and painting accessories. Oil Painting Medium No. 1: Use when a matte finish is desired, especially on absorbent gesso grounds. Made from poppy seed oil, copaiba, balsam, and solvent. Oil Painting Medium No. 2: For use with oils to retard drying time. It contains poppy seed oil, mastic resin, alkyd resin, and grumtine. Oil Painting Medium No. 3: Accelerates drying time. It contains copaiba, balsam, stand oil, mastic resin, alkyd resin, cobalt, and manganese driers. Pale Drying Oil: Accelerates drying time of oil colors. Consists of linseed oil and manganese drier. Poppy Seed Oil: An excellent quality, slow drying, purified oil that retards drying time. It provides superior color retention and resistance to yellowing. PreTested Linseed Oil: Linseed oil has several uses in oil painting. It can be used as a paint binder ingredient when mixing colors from powdered pigments, in oil painting medium recipes, and added directly to oil paints to make colors glossy and fluid. This oil is made from the finest quality purified alkali-refined linseed oil. Retouch Varnish: For brightening uneven areas of oil paintings. An excellent varnish for protecting pictures until the final varnishing. Stand Oil: A flexible, very heavy-bodied purified oil for use in preparing mediums—excellent resistance to yellowing. Sun-Thickened Linseed Oil: Sun-thickened linseed oil is heavier in body and can be appplied directly to paint or used in glaze mediums, clear varnishes and emulsions. It is an extremely flexible medium derived from purified oil and can be pre-diluted with turpentine, Grumtine or Pre-tested odorless thinner. The linseed oil lends an enamel-like quality to oil color. See More
