There are five types of Liquin, and each will help you accelerate the drying times of your oil paint. Each variety has a slightly different formula, but they are all related to the original Liquin recipe. Key Features: * Speeds up the drying process * Adds transparency and gloss * Non-yellowing Perfect For: * Oils and alkyds * Reducing brush strokes * Glazing and blending techniques Liquin™ Original - halves the drying time of oil colour and reduces brush stroke retention. Creates a smooth, gel-like paint film that is easier to work with. Liquin™ allows the paint to dry faster and makes working with multiple layers easier. Liquin™ Light Gel - halves the drying time of oil colour and produces a smooth gel. Creates low-viscosity, gel-like paint film that is easier to work with and reduces brush stroke retention. Liquin™ allows the paint to dry faster and makes working with multiple layers easier. Liquin™ Fine Detail - The most fluid medium within the Liquin™ family. Add to colour to produce a low-viscosity mixture. Increases fluidity and reduces brushstroke retention. Liquin™ allows the paint to dry faster and makes working with multiple layers easier. Liquin™ Impasto - A paste-like, semi-gloss version of Liquin™ that halves the drying time of oil and produces a crisp texture. Adds viscosity to your paint that retains marks from brushes or palette knives. It allows the paint to dry faster and makes working with multiple layers easier. Speeds drying (touch dry in 1-6 days, depending on paint thickness). Resists yellowing. Not suitable as a varnish or final coat. Liquin™ Oleopasto - A paste-like, semi-matte version of Liquin™ that halves the drying time of oil. Creates a viscous paint that holds many marks from brushes or palette knives. Keeps the oily texture of pure oil paint. Allows the paint to dry faster and makes working with multiple layers easier. (touch dry in 1-6 days, depending on colour paint thickness). Suitable for impasto & texture work. Resists yellowing. Not suitable as a varnish or final coat. Blending & Glazing Medium - Adjusts oil paint's viscosity and drying behavior for seamless colour blends and even glazes. Improves transparency. White Seals and stabilizes surface prior to painting, adding tooth for good adhesion! Because a high-quality painting begins with a high-quality base, start your painting right with Artists' Acrylic Clear or White Gesso! Both offer excellent tooth for great paint adhesion, are fast drying, and have a balanced absorbency. The White Gesso has a very high level of pigmentation for maximum opacity and covering power, meaning that 1 to 2 coats on unprimed canvas is all you need. The Clear Gesso is exactly that: clear, not milky like some other "clear" gessoes. It can be tinted with acrylics to add some color to your primer or used alone to allow the qualities of your canvas or board to show through. It also makes a great ground for pastels or charcoal. Both non-yellowing, flexible gessoes are perfect primers for all your acrylic, oil, and alkyd paintings! Clear Gesso - With all the tooth, absorbency, and fast-drying properties you need in a gesso, only completely clear! Not milky like some other "clear" gessoes, the unpigmented Artists' Acrylic resin base dries absolutely transparent; allowing you to either tint it with acrylics for a colored primer, or to use it alone and permit the qualities of your canvas or painting surface to show through. Perfect for acrylics, oils, and alkyds, it also makes an excellent ground for charcoals or pastels. White Gesso - With superior quality Artists' Acrylic resin base and a high level of pigmentation, this non-yellowing gesso gives the maximum of coverage in as little as one coat! (Though 2 coats are recommended for oil paintings) Fast-drying, flexible, and with a balanced absorbency, this gesso provides the perfect level of tooth to ensure good adhesion of your paint. Use it straight from the pot (dilution is not recommended) to provide a sealed and stabilized surface for all your acrylic, oil and alkyd paintings! If dirty, the varnish can be removed with Artisan Varnish Remover. Impasto Medium - This water-mixable impasto and texturing medium helps maintain the consistency of the color and speeds drying by 50%. For thick impasto, build the texture in several layers, allowing each layer to dry first, mixing the Impasto thoroughly into the color before use. Linseed Oil - This water-mixable oil is the main binder in Artisan colors. When mixed with color, it reduces their consistency for better flow. Combine with water or Thinner to maintain the structure of the paint film. Matt Varnish - This water-based varnish contains no hazardous solvents. Provides protection for finished paintings and provides a uniform matte finish. If dirty, the varnish can be removed with Artisan Varnish Remover. Oil Painting Medium - This stand oil-based medium is ready to use from the bottle. The medium thins the consistency of Artisan colors and aids fine detail work. Safflower Oil - This oil should be used with pale pigments to help maintain their brightness. It also increases gloss and transparency. Satin Varnish - This water-based varnish contains no hazardous solvents. Provides protection for finished paintings and provides a uniform satin finish. If dirty, the varnish can be removed with Artisan Varnish Remover. Stand Oil - This highly durable linseed oil is partly polymerized by being heated in the absence of oxygen. This stand oil joins the molecules together, leaving less space for oxygen and hence a longer drying time. Thinner - Although water is suitable as a diluent for the color, its speedy evaporation can make the color thicken upon the palette much quicker than conventional oil color would when used with turpentine. Varnish Remover - Artisan Gloss, Matt, and Satin varnishes can be removed with Artisan Varnish Remover when dirty. NOTE: Please do not use with traditional oil paints. Please use a traditional oil painting medium See More -
