Chamois skin is very soft and naturally absorbent, with no abrasive properties that will damage even delicate papers. The chamois can be cut into small manageable pieces and carefully used to blend cleanly and softly, instead of smudging with fingers, which can introduce finger oils to the surface and discolor the drawing. Used primarily as a blending and erasing tool with gentle wiping or rubbing, the artist can blot the excess surface, pull up dust, or even lighten the drawing with precisely controlled blotting. Once the chamois surface has been completely used, it can be either soaked in warm, soapy water and hand-washed, or run through the washing machine with detergent (but no softener) and then hung in a safe place to dry. Do not hang in direct sunlight. Once dry, it will be stiff and firm but is easily re-softened by rubbing together against itself or another clean piece of chamois. Set of Four: Includes Four Chamois, two 5”x7” pieces and two 13”x13” pieces. Key Features: * Soft natural leather cloths * Naturally absorbent without being abrasive * Use with charcoal, pencil, and soft and hard pastels * Reusable; just wash and allow to air dry * Can be cut to any size Perfect For: * Blending and shading charcoal and pencil drawings * Lifting and erasing dry media * Illustrators, Pastelists, Fine Artists * Keeping dust level down with pastels and charcoal * Easy cleanup See More

Springy Sponge Blender handles have unique scraper tips that can be used for removing small areas of color or carving lines into thicker color layers. Stumps (Stomps) and Tortillions Stumps are traditional blending tools for pastels, charcoal, and graphite pencil drawings, manufactured from tightly-rolled cylinders of blotting paper that is then sharpened into a point at one or both ends. Stumps are best used for blending larger areas. Tortillions are used for smudging pencil, charcoal, and pastel works. Tortillions vary from Stumps in that they are created from diagonally rolled paper, instead of a tighter rolled cylinder (Stumps). Tortillions work best blending in tighter areas, as they have a firmer tighter tip due to their construction. When the ends of either become dirty or worn, the ends can be sanded clean (and shaped to custom points) with the Sanding Pad, also included in the set. Sandpaper Pad Sandpaper Pads are the best accessory for not only cleaning Stumps and Tortillions, but also for sharpening pastel and charcoal sticks and pencils into points or hard edges for detail work. Creative Mark's Sandpaper Pad comes with 12 removable 1" W x 4" L sandpaper sheets, mounted on a pressboard wood handle, complete with a predrilled hanging hole for storage. See More
