The Turner Company has a range of carefully created primers and mediums designed to fulfill any painter's ideas. You can paint on metal, wood, or glass with one of Turner's special primers or apply a final coat of varnish. Turner Retarder can also be mixed with traditional acrylics or acryl gouache to slow down drying and create special effects. Key Features:* Uses highest quality acrylic resins and materials* Create complex ground structures with Pastes* Surface primers for glass, wood, or metal* Perfect For:* Acrylic Painters* Faux Finishers* Artists of all skill levels* Experimenting with different textures and techniques Glass Primer: Used as an undercoat on glass with excellent adhesion. Brush out directly or with about 10% water. Apply one or two coats as thinly as possible for the best finish. Dry thoroughly for more than one day before overpainting with Acryl Gouache. Wood Primer: Used as an undercoat on wood to create good covering power and adhesion with acrylic paint. Wood Primer will block stains and seal porous surfaces to prevent colors from excessive soaking into the wood. Dilute with about 30% water to make a smooth and beautiful finish. Dry thoroughly for more than one day before overpainting with Acryl Gouache. Metal Primer: Used as an undercoat on metal with good water and weather resistance. Brush out directly or with about 10% water. Apply one or two coats as thinly as possible for the best results. Dry thoroughly for more than one day before overpainting with Acryl Gouache. Fabric Medium: Turner Fabric Medium allows you to use Turner Acryl Gouache on fabric. It works well with water-based acrylic paints. Modeling Paste Pastel: Water-based paste in white color with high viscosity, which enables opaque and matte impasto. It gives an elastic film after drying and a pastel tone when mixed with acrylic paint. Please note that it shrinks by approximately 40% after drying. Impasto of about 3cm thickness will take about 3 to 6 days to dry at an ambient temperature of 20 C thoroughly. Gloss Varnish: Turner Gloss Varnish can be used as a final gloss coat on a completed painting or as a mix-in medium with other acrylic paints. The varnish has a milky-white appearance but dries clear and creates a water-resistant film. When mixed with a significant amount of Acryl Gouache paint, it produces a glossy translucent effect. Retarder: Turner Retarder slows the drying time of acrylic gouache paints. The clear retarder forms a water-resistant film once dry. Using too much Turner Retarder may cause the painting surface to be tacky for a few days. See More

GOLDEN Acrylic AdditivesSave Up to30%Off list…Perfect For: * Acrylic painting * Minimizing paint waste * Classroom, home, and studio * Teachers and students * All acrylic-friendly surfaces The retarder does not contain binding agents. To ensure adhesion, the addition of Retarder should not exceed 15% (1:6)when mixed with colors or mediums. Reduce surface tension and increase paint flow Additives serve a similar function to mediums. The difference is that additives don't contain acrylic binders (like mediums do), so you must follow the label and use them in correct proportions. Most mediums can be added to the paint in any amount until you've achieved the desired effect, but additives can weaken the color and adhesion of the paint when overused. GOLDEN offers these two additives, which are a useful addition to any painters studio. Wetting Agent: Formerly known as Acrylic Flow Release - an additive used to reduce the surface tension of the water in the acrylic emulsion, thereby increasing the slickness and flow of the paint. It is useful for achieving rich stains on a porous surface. Not for use by children. Retarder: an additive used to increase the open (drying) time of acrylic paints. Useful for wet on wet techniques and reducing skinning on the palette. Key Features: * Increase open time * Reduce the surface tension of acrylic emulsion * Improve the slickness and flow of paint * No acrylic binders * Use them in correct proportions * Click the yellow circle icon for product information Perfect For: * Acrylic painting * Minimizing paint waste * Classroom, home, and studio * Teachers and students * All acrylic-friendly surfaces The retarder does not contain binding agents.
