Winsor & Newton solvents are made specifically for artists’ use and are fully volatile, meaning they leave no residual matter once evaporated. Key Features: * Artists' Picture Cleaner * English Distilled Turpentine * Sansodor * White Spirit Perfect For: * Cleaning palettes and brushes * Removing dried paint * Removing varnish Picture Cleaner - A natural resin/oil emulsion containing ammonia, designed for cleaning varnished paintings. Dissolves linseed oil oxidation and removes surface dirt. English Distilled Turpentine - Can be used to create your own painting mediums. Distilled Turpentine is derived from pine trees and is the most traditional solvent. You can use it to clean brushes. Sansodor - For creating your own painting mediums. Sansodor™ performs like turpentine, but its low odor makes it the least hazardous solvent. Leading art schools recommend it, and it is often the only solvent permitted in their studios. Also good for diluting paint and cleaning brushes. It evaporates slowly and increases blending time. White Spirit - Can be used to create your own painting mediums. Artists’ White Spirit is a petroleum distillate. It makes a leaner mixture with the colour and evaporates quickly. It can be used to clean brushes. …softens and removes dried paint from brushes, palette knives, and more. The gentle, non-hazardous soap-based cleaner works within minutes for oil colors and hours for dried acrylics. Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner leaves natural and synthetic brushes soft and clean while removing all paint… Non-Hazardous, Low Vapour, Brush Cleaner Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner efficiently softens and removes dried paint from brushes, palette knives, and more. The gentle, non-hazardous soap-based cleaner works within minutes for oil colors and hours for dried acrylics. Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner leaves natural and synthetic brushes soft and clean while removing all paint residue. Key Features: * Gentle, effective brush cleaner * Soap-based formula * Non-hazardous and low-vapor * Foams a little when scrubbed Perfect For: * Natural and synthetic brushes * Oil, alkyd, and acrylic paint * Removing wet and dried paint * Cleaning palette knives and more The new soap-based Brush Cleaner is better than the old formulation. Winsor & Newton changed the product name from 'Brush Cleaner and Restorer' to 'Brush Cleaner' to clarify the differences. The new cleaner has a soap base that foams a little when scrubbed. Tip: Avoid contact with varnished or lacquered surfaces, such as brush handles, as the cleaner will soften any paint or stain on the handle. It's also best to use this cleaner at the end of your painting session and use a different rinse aid while painting. Instructions: Dip the brush into the liquid and scrub a little if necessary. The resulting foam will help rinse the pigments and binders out of the brush. Then, wipe the brush with a cloth and rinse with water. If the brush is very clogged, it may be necessary to soak it for longer, possibly overnight. You can use a rubber band or clamp to suspend the brush in the liquid. See More
