Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyd Fast-Drying Oil Color - Titanium White, 200ml TubeSave Up to40%Off listWhite Fast Drying Oil Colors Made with pigments and oil modified alkyd resin Griffin Alkyd is an oil color formulated from the same family of fast-drying resins that has been used by Winsor & Newton in producing Liquin and other mediums since the 1960’s. Each color reaches a touch-dry state in less than 24 hours, making them ideal for fast working while still offering the working and optical properties of oils. Their unique luminosity makes them perfectly suited for glazing, particularly when used in combination with Liquin. Compatible with conventional oils, Griffin Alkyd Oils have excellent flow properties and dry to a durable, semi-gloss hard film that will not yellow over time. Made with an alkyd resin binder that has been modified with a non-yellowing drying oil for optimum color retention, excellent durability, and rapid drying time. 48 oil colors is available in 37ml tubes. Titanium White is also available in 200ml tubes. Key Features:* 48 oil colors, available in 37ml tubes* Faster drying time than traditional oils* Dry to the touch in 18 to 24 hours* Genuine oil color* Can be thinned with traditional oil color solvents* Can usually be varnished in 30 days* No compromise on lightfastness, color strength, and selection* Speed of drying allows techniques such as impasto and glazing to be done in considerably less time* Classed as artists' quality because the grinding of pigments* Dries to a durable, semi-gloss hard film* Will not yellow over time Perfect For:* Fast working while still offering the working and optical properties of oils* Colors remain workable for 4-8 hours* Oil painting outdoors* Clean with mineral spirits* Non-yellowing drying oil for optimum color retention* Glazing, particularly when used in combination with Liquin * Because alkyd film is slightly less flexible and is faster drying than traditional oil color, application over oil or oilbar layers is not recommended. Alkyd is not intermixible with acrylics. Griffin Alkyd Fast Drying Drying Oil Color Alkyds are made from a naturally derived vegetable oil that is polymerized. The result is a resin-like product that, when mixed with a solvent, is very similar to traditional linseed oil. The colours remain workable for 4 to 8 hours and are touch dry in 18 to 24. Consistent drying times across the range removes the usual restrictions that come with conventional oils, making it easier to overpaint, regardless of the colour upon the surface. Artist Review Great Product! "I work on commissions all the time that sometimes require a short deadline. I feel much more confident in getting them done and out in time while using these oils. You can also mix them in with regular oil paint and usually that will speed up the drying times as well. Usually they are completely dry in 24 hours!" See More
