Add to oil painting medium in drops as opposed to adding directly to oil paint. Cobalt Drier is a powerful additive for oil paints and should be used sparingly. Test medium before applying it to an oil painting. Overuse may cause cracking of paint film when drying. Copal Painting Medium: has a resinous consistency perfect for glazing and wet-on-wet techniques. Copal painting medium is an oil paint additive that speeds drying time. This medium increases paint flow and imparts a high gloss and hardness when dried. Copal painting medium may cause yellowing or darkening of colors over long periods. Only dilute with turpentine or Grumtine as petroleum-based solvents, and odorless thinners are not compatible with this product. Oil Painting Medium No. 1: Use when a matte finish is desired, especially on absorbent gesso grounds. Made from poppy seed oil, copaiba, balsam, and solvent. Oil Painting Medium No. 2: For use with oils to retard drying time. It contains poppy seed oil, mastic resin, alkyd resin, and grumtine. Oil Painting Medium No. 3: Accelerates drying time. Poppy Seed Oil: An excellent quality, slow drying, purified oil that retards drying time. It provides superior color retention and resistance to yellowing. PreTested Linseed Oil: Linseed oil has several uses in oil painting. It can be used as a paint binder ingredient when mixing colors from powdered pigments, in oil painting medium recipes, and added directly to oil paints to make colors glossy and fluid. This oil is made from the finest quality purified alkali-refined linseed oil. Retouch Varnish: For brightening uneven areas of oil paintings. An excellent varnish for protecting pictures until the final varnishing. Stand Oil: A flexible, very heavy-bodied purified oil for use in preparing mediums—excellent resistance to yellowing. Sun-Thickened Linseed Oil: Sun-thickened linseed oil is heavier in body and can be appplied directly to paint or used in glaze mediums, clear varnishes and emulsions.
